Income

  • Income statements (salary certificate, social security / unemployment compensations, pensions, annuities, etc.)
  • Statements regarding received alimony

 Assets

  • Bank statements including account balance per year end and interest received during the year
  • Statement of custody account (including dividends and other earnings)
  • Life insurance statement including taxable repurchase value  (surrender value)

 Health Expenses

  • Statement from the health insurer (Krankenkasse)
  • Dental expenses

 Other Expenses

  • Invoices / statement of costs for further professional education /training
  • Statements of donations
  • 2nd / 3rd pillar contributions
  • Kindergarten /nursery expense statements / invoices (if double salary household)
  • Support payments made to relatives (e.g. parents abroad)
  • Statements regarding paid alimony

  Loans / Debts

  • Debt statement including balance per year end and interest paid during the year
  • Consumer loan statement including balance per year end and interest paid during the year
  • Credit card statement including balance per year end and interest paid during the year

 For Owners of the Real Estate

  • Tax-  and rental value statement (for the property in Switzerland; for the property abroad – market value)
  • Statements of mortgage including balance and interest paid
  • Receipts for maintenance / renovations / repairs

 If you are married, the data above needs to be submitted for your spouse, as well. If you have children, please provide with their full names and dates of birth.

 PLEASE NOTE: in general, all worldwide assets and income need to be declared in the Swiss tax return. This includes all your foreign accounts, as well. Rental income from the property abroad will not be taxed in Switzerland, but will be considered for the Swiss tax rate purposes.
